About Tours

Maharashtra tourism, here one can see monuments that are as old as 4th century BC; the perfect example of the same is the Ajanta and Ellora caves near Aurangabad. Soon after the Rashtrakuta dynasty, who were the makers of the Ellora Caves, Seuna (Yadava) dynasty rose to power in Maharashtra and left their mark in the form of Daulatabad Fort, which is 15 km from Aurangabad. In the 14th century, many Islamic rulers governed the state, and that’s when Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb built the replica of Taj Mahal, Bibi Ka Maqbara in Aurangabad. During this reign, Maharashtra architecture saw a new aesthetic and a concept of Islamic architecture was introduced. The historical places of Maharashtra started capturing eyeballs in early 17th century when Marathas came into power.

Bibi ka Makbara:The Bibi Ka Maqbara English: “Tomb of the Lady” is a tomb located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was commissioned in 1660 by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the memory of his first and chief wife Dilras Banu Begum (posthumously known as Rabia-ud-Daurani) and is considered to be a symbol of Aurangzeb’s ‘conjugal fidelity’. It bears a striking resemblance to the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum of Aurangzeb’s mother, Mumtaz Mahal. Aurangzeb was not much interested in architecture though he had commissioned the small, but elegant, Pearl Mosque at Delhi. Bibi Ka Maqbara is the second largest structure that Aurangzeb has built, the largest being the Badshahi Mosque.

Sant Gyaneshwar birthplace aapegoan: Sant Dnyaneshwar, also referred to as Jnaneshwar, Jnanadeva, Dnyandev or Mauli (1275–1296) was a 13th-century Indian Marathi saint, poet, philosopher and yogi of the Nath Vaishnava tradition. In his short life of 21 years, he authored Dnyaneshwari (a commentary on the Bhagavad Gita) and Amrutanubhav.

Jayakwadi Dam:Jayakwadi dam is an earthen dam located on Godavari river at the site of Jayakwadi village in Paithan taluka of Aurangabad district in Maharashtra, India. The harsh project is one of the largest irrigation projects in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a multipurpose project.Later return to hotel for overnight stay.

Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga: Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, sometimes referred to as the Ghrneshwar or Ghushmeshwar Temple, is one of the shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva that is referenced in the Shiva Purana. The temple is an important pilgrimage site in the Shaiva tradition of Hinduism, which considers it as the last or twelfth Jyotirlinga (linga of light).

Ellore Caves:UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, India. It is one of the largest rock-cut monastery-temple cave complexes in the world, featuring Hindu, Buddhist and Jain monuments, and artwork, dating from the 600–1000 CE period. Cave 16, in particular, features the largest single monolithic rock excavation in the world, the Kailash temple, a chariot shaped monument dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Bhadra Maruti Mandir:Bhadra Maruti Temple, Khultabad is a temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Hanuman, located at Khuldabad, near Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The temple is located four kilometers from the Ellora Caves. At this temple, the idol of Hanuman is portrayed in a reclining or sleeping posture. It is one of only three places where Hanuman is represented in a sleeping posture.

Devgiri Fort:Daulatabad Fort, also known as Devagiri or Deogiri, is a historic fortified citadel located in Daulatabad (Devagiri) village near Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was the capital of the Yadava dynasty (9th century–14th century CE), for a brief time the capital of the Delhi Sultanate (1327–1334), and later a secondary capital of the Ahmadnagar Sultanate (1499–1636).Later transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Lonar Lake was created by a meteorite collision impact during the Pleistocene Epoch. It is one of the four known, hyper-velocity, impact craters in basaltic rock anywhere on Earth. Later return to hotel for overnight stay.
